Overcoming lust, sloth and gluttony

If, however, the goal of spiritual formation is that one's "whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ " ( 1 Thess. 5:23), then an essential aspect of spiritual formation is to overcome sins of the body.
